Established in 2018, UBSN is a state-of-art think tank and interdisciplinary technological platform to support research endeavors of researchers from PolyU and other higher education institutions in Hong Kong.It serves as a key training hub for all who are pursuing scientific enquiry in neuroscience and related disciplines.

The equipment in UBSN is classified into 4 categories, including Behavioral Neuroscience, Brain Stimulation, Neurophysiology and Neuroimaging.Our new and highlight equipment is the 3T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) facility.In addition to MRI, UBSN also has transcranial magnetic stimulation, near-infrared spectroscopy, transcranial ultrasound Doppler, electroencephalogram (EEG), optical topography system, and Dynamic Stabiility and Balance Learning Environment System (DYNSTABLE).

With supports from various branches of research areas, including the Brain Imaging and Artificial Intelligence/Big Data, Healthy Aging, Mental Health, Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair, Human Development, Neurolinguistics, and Cognitive Neuroscience of Language and Culture.UBSN is fully committed to tackling research questions for the benefit of mankind, and nurturing talents among students and young researchers.

Applicants should have:

(a) an honours degree in Computer Science,Biomedical Engineering, Health

Informatics, Radiography, Medical Imagingor related disciplines or an

equivalent qualification;

(b) a strong sense of responsibility;

(c) good teamwork and interpersonal skills;

(d) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Preference will be given to those with MRI knowledge.

The appointee will assist the projectleader in the project - “Implementation of imaging, data management andtraining procedures for the new human magnetic resonance imaging laboratory”.

He / She will be required to:

(a) assist in daily operation of magneticresonance imaging (MRI) laboratory;

(b) assist in setting up data management system, as well as sorting out, storing and backing up MRI data on a daily basis;

(c) assist in organizing MRI training workshops, seminars and otherevents;

(d) serve as liaison with Principal Investigators (PIs) to ensuresmooth execution of the project at the University Research Facility in Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience (UBSN);

(e) perform any other duties asassigned by the Director and Associate Director of UBSN or their delegates.
